Betty B. Blaize is the CEO of Excellence for Children and the COO of the 1st Years. She has provided leadership in child care training for over 13 years.
Betty is a Program for Infant Toddler Caregivers (PITC) National Faculty member.
Betty coordinates the Infant/Toddler training throughout the state of Louisiana. She has served on the National Faculty for the Program for Infant Toddler Care as an Infant/Toddler Specialist for the Head Start Quality Improvement Center, as an elected official in Terrebonne Parish, as Vice-President of the State Directors of Child Development. Betty is also the senior faculty member of the 1st Years training team.
Betty received her BA from San Diego State College University in Home Economics; graduate credits from Pacific Oaks College in Early Childhood; and an MA from the University of New Orleans in Curriculum and Instruction.
Betty has provided training and technical assistance to Early Head Start programs in Arkansas, Louisiana and Oklahoma. She has participated in study groups visiting child care centers in Reggio Emilio, Pistoia, Italy, and with the Pixler Institute in Budapest, Hungary.
Betty is a caring, knowledgeable, and dynamic trainer and is eager to impart the fundamentals of effective care giving, leadership and professionalism in order to elevate the quality of child care for all children.
Excellence for Children provides training on a diverse variety of subjects including enrichment classes and professional development through the PITC module system.
Training activities include workshops and seminars presented by leading experts in infant development and care.
The classes are taught in 2-three hour sessions.

Health And Safety,
Orientation For The Home Care Provider,
Customized training developed and presented by Betty Blaize are also available upon request.
