Betty Blaize, director of Excellence for Children and the 1st Years, is a Program for Infant Toddler Caregivers (PITC) National Faculty member. Betty leads the staff at 1st Years, which consists of an infant/toddler team that holds Doctorate or Master Degrees in Child Development and are certified trainers for PITC. Their resumes include presentations at national, state, and local professional conferences and Early Head Start training on many topics.
The training provided by both the 1st Years and Excellence for Children allows childcare providers access to information and cutting-edge research. We strive to increase the quality of care that children receive while assisting administrators to successfully operate their childcare businesses.
We provide topics on a diverse variety of subjects including enrichment classes and professional development through the PITC module system.
Training activities include workshops and seminars presented by leading experts in infant development and care.
The classes are taught in 2-three hour sessions.
Enrichment modules available include:

Music And Movement,
What Children Learn Through Play,
Communication With Families,
Health And Safety,
Orientation For The Home Care Provider,
and much more.
The 1st Years and Excellence for Children faculty members are available to train your staff at your facility (minimum 25 participants).
